<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio relay device and a radio relay method that make mode transition processing possible between a normal mode and a power saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: A radio relay device comprises control means that performs control to transit to a power saving mode when a radio communication time with a wireless LAN terminal continues for a certain time period during operation in a normal mode where relay processing is performed between a local side wireless IF unit for connecting to the wireless LAN terminal and an IF unit for connecting to a network side, and transit to the normal mode when there is an access from the wireless LAN terminal during operation in the power saving mode. The control means is configured, when a radio communication time is shorter than the certain time period and it cannot transit to the power saving mode by periodic access from the wireless LAN terminal during operation in the normal mode, to update the certain time period to a value smaller than the radio communication time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
