The invention relates to a foldable base for display counters that has an "erect" position and a "collapsed" position, said base comprising: a front panel, a first side panel connected to the front panel in a hinged manner and extending towards the rear of the front panel in the erect position of the base; a separator connected to the front panel; a second side panel connected to the separator in a hinged manner and arranged opposite the first side panel in the erect position of the base; and a cover that is mounted on the base in the erect position thereof. In the collapsed position of the base, one of the side panels is placed or received behind the front panel and the remaining side panel is placed on the side panel that is already received or placed on the front panel.
