<p>A liquid cartridge has a sensor unit for detecting opening and closing of a supply pipe, and a substrate with terminals, one of which is electrically connected to the sensor. The liquid cartridge has a rectangular cuboid shape. Among the opposite faces of the liquid cartridge, the first face has a position for the substrate, and the second face adjacent and perpendicular to the first face has an opening for supplying liquid to a device which the cartridge is installed. The sensor unit is mounted on the supply pipe which connects the opening and a liquid reservoir inside the cartridge. The substrate and the sensor unit are substantially aligned in a direction perpendicular to the first face.</p> |
