<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door lock device for vehicle capable of reliably preventing a door from being unintentionally opened by an impact or the like, and also suppressing a decrease in durability. <P>SOLUTION: A pole 12 is provided in a rockable manner in a housing 80 so as to fix or release rocking of a fork 11. A switching lever 20 is provided in the housing 80 to connect to an outside door handle 8 or an inside door handle 7, and is displaced by an opening operation of the outside door handle 8 or the like to act on the pole 12, so that the fork 11 is switched from a latched state to an unlatched state. The pole 12 is provided with: an inertia lever 30 which can rock around a pivot X1 and rocks from a first position to a second position by application of inertia force F1 exceeding a set value; and a biasing member 41 for biasing the inertia lever 30 to the first position.
