<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately extract a core wire from a captured image of a spiral spring. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device includes: image input means for inputting an image obtained by capturing a spiral spring; contour extraction means for extracting a contour of the spiral spring from the input captured image; coordinate conversion means for performing polar-coordinates conversion on the extracted contour; angular coordinates value sequence acquiring means for acquiring "an angular coordinates value sequence of the contour (θ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>, θ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, ..., θ<SB POS="POST">n</SB>)" for the contour subjected to the polar-coordinates conversion, to be obtained by making a circuit on the contour in one direction; and hook area specifying means for specifying an inner hook area and outer hook area by use of the acquired "angular coordinates value sequence of the contour". <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
