摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an accuracy of a distance between a light source (light guide) and an original document (object to be read) by making an accumulation of dimensional variations of parts constituting an illumination device small. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device, used for an image sensor which reads an object to be read which is being conveyed, comprises: light sources which are disposed facing end faces and extended in a main scanning direction; and holders into which end parts including the end faces of a columnar light guide housed in a housing are inserted.
