To reduce the load when creating a system structure chart, a system construction support device, upon receiving an input for newly positioning a component in the system structure chart (step S1), performs the following: searches for related information describing a combination between connectable components, and extracts a component which can be connected to a component selected on the basis of the input (step S2); connects, integrates and positions the display object of the selected component and the display object of the extracted component (steps S8-S10); and performs the same operation on each of the plurality of integrated display objects, when an input is received for performing an operation for moving or deleting one display object designated from among the display objects pertaining to the plurality of components integrated and positioned in the system structure chart.
