The device i.e. type-III compressed gas storage (5), has a metallic inner shell (6) enclosing an inner space, and an outer enclosure (7) surrounding the inner shell. The outer enclosure is made of fiber-reinforced material. A surface (9) of the inner shell is turned toward the outer enclosure, and exhibits a microscopic and/or macroscopic roughened surface structure. The roughened surface structure is formed by machine cutting processing and sandblast of the surface. The roughened surface structure exhibits nubs formed by over-crossing incisions.
