The pair of movable die drive units (31) lower the movable die (22) and bring the movable die close to the fixed die (17), and also lift the movable die (22) and separate the movable die from the fixed die (17). The vertical injection molding machine is further provided with a plurality of die clamping mechanisms (45) and an injector. The plurality of die clamping mechanisms (45) clamp the dies by crimping to the fixed die (17) the movable die (22) having been brought close to the fixed die (17). The injector injects molten resin into a cavity formed between the fixed die (17) and movable die (22) having been crimped together by the die clamping mechanisms (45).</p>
