Security device ensuring the closing of a drum of a washing machine

The device has a double door equipped with male and female corners, and cylindrical half bars (2b) actuated by handles (2a). A reverse T shaped mechanical sensor (3) is mounted in a fixed upper part of a washing machine above a drum (1). Displacement of the sensor higher than a predetermined threshold permits measurement of abnormal gap of the handles, significant deformation of the drum and/or leafs of the door under the action of rotation forces, and/or excessive wear of bearings or rollers supporting the drum and controlling a brake device that stops rotation of the drum.
