In order to disintegrate agglomerated solid particles in suspension in a liquid, for example fines obtained during the reprocessing of nuclear fuels, this liquid is circulated under pressure in a venturi tube (44). The radial gradient of the velocities inside the latter induces shearing forces which break up the aggregates. The effect is increased by recirculating a proportion of the liquid into the venturi tube, which then functions as an ejector. The venturi tube is preferably positioned vertically, with the liquid circulating in the downward direction. A system with baffles can be placed at the exit of the venturi tube.

|
