<p>The conductive coated ribbon has a specific electrical surface resistance of at most 3000 ohms. cm/cm, and it is flexible and resistant to friction. It consists of a ribbon, woven or non-woven, based on for example glass filaments or fibres, which ribbon is covered on both its faces by a conductive coating substance. This substance is a mixture, on the one hand, of a resin of thermosetting type, especially melamine-formaldehyde resin, by itself or in a mixture with a resin of the thermoplastic type, especially an acrylic resin, in a proportion of at least two thirds and, on the other hand, of graphite and carbon black. The method consists in impregnating the ribbon, under tension, with the conductive substance as an aqueous dispersion, in performing a wiping operation on both faces and a thermal treatment, for drying and for crosslinking, these operations preferably being performed continuously. <IMAGE></p> |
