<p>A scratch float comprises a back plate and a replaceable scouring plate. The back plate is 1 metre long and formed from aluminium, it had a strengthening strip running centrally along its length. Two plastic handles are mounted spaced apart to the back plate along the strengthening strip. The scouring plate is of galvanised steel and has rows of teeth folded out of it, it is fixed to the back plate by pop rivets or self tapping screws through pre-drilled holes.</p> |
