PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet for an air bag, holding mechanical characteristics as the air bag, capable of being compactly housed and excellent in developing properties in operation and having high reliability even when placed in a severe environment for a long period. CONSTITUTION:The objective nylon 46 fiber has <=3.2 to <3.5 relative viscosity, >=1.17g/cm<3> density, >=6.5g/denier strength, >=20% elongation, <=10% dry heat shrinkage factor, <=6 denier single fiber denier and 210-840 denier of total denier. Furthermore, the objective sheet for an air bag is made by using this nylon 46 fiber. |
