Retrofitting of a nuclear power plant

The method involves supplying vapor of vapor generating unit to steam turbine (17), prior to conversion to nuclear steam generating unit. A heat recovery steam generator (2) is replaced during nuclear steam generating unit conversion, and additionally ballast steam turbine (12) is reinstalled. The vapor of high-pressure steam generator (8) is supplied to exhaust steam (18) of ballast steam turbine. The heat recovery steam generator has medium-pressure steam generator (9) that supplies steam of steam turbine (16) with intermediate pressure level. An independent claim is included for converted nuclear power plant.
