The method involves determining whether one missing printed product (27) exists due to incorrect drawing off from the discharge point such that relevant receiving pocket (22) is incompletely loaded with the printed products. The repair process is initiated and controlled in which the missing printed product is drawn off from the corresponding discharge point at a time corresponding to subsequent recurrent pocket-related cycle of subsequent conveying mechanism (20) in subsequent cycle period of discharge device. The missing printed product is inserted in the relevant receiving pocket.
