Scroll control according to input of cursor movement

In a main area (200) of a display device (110), buttons (201 to 20n) and a map display area (210) where a map (211) is scrolled are provided. A cursor (250) can be moved to an arbitrary position of the main area (200) according to directional input received from an input device. When a decision input is performed with the input device when the cursor (250) points to each button (201 to 20n), processing assigned to the button (201 to 20n) to which the cursor (250) points is performed. When a user inputs a direction and a special input button is not selected, the cursor (250) is moved throughout the main area (200). When the user inputs a direction while the special input button is selected, the cursor (250) is moved only within the map display area (210) and the map (211) is scrolled as required.
