The safe has a burglar-proof outer casing, for example made of high quality steel, and inside is an insulating layer, for example, made from hard foam with a plastic surface on the inside. Integrated with the outer casing are the fastening elements. The lid or door is locked to the casing. Alternatively, the outer casing may be plastic with insulation between it and a steel inner wall, the fasteners being integrated with the latter. A third possibility has steel for both inner and outer walls, e.g. for use as a coolbox. The safe is designed to be stored under the floor.
