TRESTLE LADDER A trestle ladder comprised of a front side having a front top. The trestle ladder is also comprised of a rear side having a rear top. The rear top is hingedly connected to the front top. The trestle ladder is also comprised of a foldable platform connected to the front side and the rear side. The platform is preferably spring loaded such that it folds up when the front side and rear side are brought together to be in a folded state. The trestle ladder is also comprised of a top bar connected to the rear top. Preferably, the platform includes a first portion having a first end connected to a front side of the ladder and a second end connected to a rear side of the ladder. The first portion has a folded state and an open state. The first portion defines a plane when it is in the open state. The platform preferably also includes a hinge mechanism connected to the first portion such that the first portion goes between the open state and the folded state by rotating about the hinge mechanism. The present invention also pertains to the folding platform, the top bar, and the hinge themselves.
