Amorphous magnetic alloy (CoaNbbTacZrdRue; 1<=e<10, 0<b+c<20, b+c+2d>=10, a+e<=80, a+b+c+d=100, a, b, c, d, e is atomic percent), useful for high density magnetic recording head was manufd. by substituting a part of Nb to Ru. Thus, a part of Nb in the Co-Nb-Ta-Zr was partly substituted to Ru, and nitrogen was added. Therefore saturated magnetic flux density (Bs) and effective magnetic permeability (μe) were improved, and resistivity (ρ) was increased.
