Excess temperature protection device for an electric protective switch device

The device has a pawl (80) which is inserted between releasing and actuating apparatuses (10,30,40) and contact unit. A temperature-sensitive element (200) lying outside the conducting path, is engaged with switching mechanism (30) based on temperature dependant deformation when switching temperature exceeds a preset value. The contact unit is set to open state and lock is triggered to unlatched state when releasing and actuating apparatus triggers the lock to unlatched state.
