The kit comprises a paste A and a paste B, where: the paste A contains a monomer (a1) for radical polymerization, a polymer (a2) insoluble in the monomer, a polymer (a3) soluble in the monomer, and a radical polymerization initiator (a4); a weight ratio of the polymer (a2) to the polymer (a3) is 2-1; the paste B contains a monomer (b1) for radical polymerization, a polymer (b2) soluble in the monomer (b1), an accelerator (b3) soluble in the monomer (b1), and optionally a polymer (b4) insoluble in the monomer (b1); and a maximum quantity of the polymer (b4) is 5 wt.%. The kit comprises a paste A and a paste B, where: the paste A contains a monomer (a1) for radical polymerization, a polymer (a2) insoluble in the monomer, a polymer (a3) soluble in the monomer, and a radical polymerization initiator (a4); a weight ratio of the polymer (a2) to the polymer (a3) is 2-1; the paste B contains a monomer (b1) for radical polymerization, a polymer (b2) soluble in the monomer (b1), an accelerator (b3) soluble in the monomer (b1), and optionally a polymer (b4) insoluble in the monomer (b1); a maximum quantity of the polymer (b4) is 5 wt.%; and a weight ratio of the polymer (b4) to the polymer (b2) is less than 0.2. The paste A and/or the paste B contain(s) a radio-opacifier, and a pharmaceutical agent. The kit further comprises a first container, a second container, and a mixing unit for mixing the paste A with the paste B, where the first container contains the paste A and the second container contains the paste B. The first and second containers are opened to allow the paste A and the paste B to be mixed after opening. An independent claim is included for a method for producing bone cement. |
