PURPOSE: A printing device, a control method thereof, and a storage medium thereof are provided to eliminate the need to move a storage unit to an exchange position when the continuous use of the storage unit determined as the exhaustion of recording materials is set. CONSTITUTION: When a toner of a nth toner cartridge is exhausted, a CPU(Central Processing Unit) sets a variable CRG_OUT[n]as 1. When a value of CRG_OVERRIDE[m]is not 1, the CPU commands a printing unit to move a mth toner cartridge to an exchange position(S412,S413). When a continuous use button is pressed, the CPU sets each of toner cartridges as 1 of CRG_OVERRIDE(S414,S415).
