The hearing apparatus has a housing (10) and receiver arranged in the housing , where a covering element (13) is inserted in the housing. A sound channel is formed between a receiver and the sound guiding piece (11). The sound channel is laterally delimited by the housing and the cover element. The cover element has an opening as the input of sound channel.
