PACKAGING MATERIAL FOR CELL AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A packing material for batteries is provided to remarkably improve moisture blocking performance, corrosion resistance and electric insulation. CONSTITUTION: A packing material for batteries comprises the outermost layer(10), a barrier layer(13) containing aluminum or aluminum alloy, an innermost layer(17), and an aluminum oxide coating layer(14,16) formed on at least one side of the barrier layer. The surface resistance of the packing material is 0.1 kΩ/cm^2. The thickness of the oxide coating layer is 0.2-10 micron. The coating layer has pores with a pore diameter of 1-1,000 nm. A manufacturing method of the packing material comprises: a step of anodizing at least one side of the barrier layer to form the aluminum oxide coating layer.
