PURPOSE: A word meaning display apparatus and a method thereof are provided to confirm a synonym list according to meaning of a target word and to easily recognize meaning of a target word. CONSTITUTION: A first symbol generating unit(110) generates a target word as a first symbol. A second symbol generating unit(120) generates designated synonyms of the target word as a second symbol. The second symbol generating unit groups the generated second symbols. A symbol arranging unit(130) generates at least one axis as the generated first symbol. The symbol arranging unit arranges second symbols on the same axis mapped with the target word.
