<p>The invention relates to a control rod with absorber pins to be used in low-energy research reactors with enriched uranium and light water, ensuring enhanced operation reliability of the reactor by preventing the rods from being locked within the guide. According to the invention, the control rod consists of some absorber pins (A) made of columns (2) of sintered boron carbide pellets having a density of at least 70% of the theory density, individually sheathed within Zircalloy tubes (5), said pins having a plenum for helium accumulation at the top part and being vertically arranged on the peripheral outline of the control rod section, in the vicinity of the guiding case (1), where they are positioned and supported by the central column (6), by means of the upper grid (9), intermediate grid (10) and lower grid (11), said column making the connection between the top pieces, namely between the coupling flange (7) together with the float (8), having the role of compensating the volume weight, and the follower (12), all the said pieces forming a non-detachable structure.</p> |
