PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling a high voltage inverter are provided to normally drive an electric motor when a moment blackout is generated. CONSTITUTION: A high-pressure inverter(200) drives an electric motor. A high-pressure inverter generates high pressure AC power according to a switching control signal. A blackout detection part detects whether AC power from the outside is inputted in the occurrence of blackout. A control unit(230) drives the high-pressure inverter by using a switching control signal.
