Hand torch with rechargeable battery e.g. for use with motor vehicle electrical system

The hand torch has a battery (14) and at least two electrical connecting contact elements (16, 18, 17, 19) for connecting an energy source for charging the battery. A magnetic holding system (26) with magnet pole shoes (28, 30) is provided for fixing the hand lamp (10) in place. The magnet pole shoes (28, 30) form the electrical connecting contact elements (16, 18). The hand lamp is connectable with a holder (62) having counter contact elements (64, 68) allocated with one of the pole shoes (28 and 30). A ferrite block is arranged between the pole shoes (28 and 30). A diode is arranged in the direction of the charging current in the free passage direction, between one of the pole shoes (26) and the electric pole of the battery (14) allocated to it.
