<p>A down-converter for receiving a multiband radio frequency signal (RF) and a local oscillator signal (f LO ). The down-converter comprises a frequency divider (205a; 205b) and a heterodyne receive chain (200a; 200b). The frequency divider (205a; 205b) is configured to divide the local oscillator signal (f LO ) and provide a plurality of different divided local oscillator signals (f 1a , f 2a ; f 0b , f 1b, f 2b ). The heterodyne receive chain (200a; 200b) comprises a first stage mixer (202a; 202b) and a plurality of second stage mixers (203a, 204a; 203b, 204b). The first stage mixer (202a; 202b) is configured to mix the multiband radio frequency signal (RF) and either the local oscillator signal (f 0a ) or a divided local oscillator signal (f 0b ) in order to generate a first intermediate frequency signal. Each second stage mixer (203a, 204a; 203b, 204b) is configured to mix the first intermediate signal (IF 0 ) and a divided local oscillator signal (f 1a , f 2a ; f 1b , f 2b ) in order to generate a second intermediate frequency signals (IF 1 , IF 2 ) that each represent a band from the multiband radio frequency signal (RF). The frequency divider (205a; 205b) is configured to provide a different divided local oscillator signal (f 1a , f 2a ; f 3b , f 1b, f 2b ) to each of the second stage mixers (203a, 204a; 203b, 204b).</p> |
