FIELD: grinding frozen tissue. SUBSTANCE: grinding unit includes grinding member 2 formed by two pairs of cheeks 3 and 4 with grinding teeth; lower cheek is of lattice construction; upper cheek is also of lattice construction with teeth located on longitudinal and transverse members. Lower cheeks may be mounted immovably and upper cheek may be mounted for rotation about lower one. Grinding teeth may be tapering. Each cheek may have 15 but no more than 55 grinding teeth per square meter. Turn drive may include piston-and-cylinder units. Lower cheek may be swirler. Grinding unit may be provided with electron circuit connected with turn drive, roller with projections and pressure pickup. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of grinding. 11 cl, 6 dwg
