PURPOSE: A method for measuring a phase of a sinusoidal signal is provided to obtain an initial phase difference of two signals and compensate an arbitrarily determined initial phase difference to be the 90 degree difference, thereby obtaining the phase of an output signal. CONSTITUTION: A method for measuring a phase of a sinusoidal signal is as follows. An initial phase difference between first and second sinusoidal signals is calculated(S101). A phase difference is compensated so that the initial phase difference becomes 90 degree(S103). The phase of the first sinusoidal signal is measured by an arctangent method by using the compensated phase difference(S105).
