PURPOSE: An image display device and an operation method are provided to perform log-in based on personal information received from a remote control device and display an object informing the log-in on a display, thereby automatically performing the log-in by using the personal information without an extra input operation. CONSTITUTION: An image display device receives personal information from a remote control device(S840). The image display device performs log-in based on the received personal information(S860).
