A method and an apparatus for displaying an image are provided to offer image information such as advertisement to a user without adding hardware. A memory(30) stores received data. A control unit(70) searches the image data stored in the memory when an image is displayed by abnormal data, and displays the searched image data on a screen. A video processing unit including a VDP(Video Display Processor)(50) or an OSD(On Screen Display)(40) processes the searched data to be capable of being displayed. The memory stores EPG(Electronic Program Guide) data. |
