PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for extracting outline from an image are provided to more accurately express outline. CONSTITUTION: A flow vector is generated based on the color of each pixel of an input image(210). The color is differentiated in each pixel of the input image in the vertical direction of the flow vector. The energy of each pixel is calculated. A contour representing type energy image is generated(220). A domain expressed as contour in the energy image is shrunken in the vertical direction of the flow vector field(230). |
