NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A non-aqueous electrolyte is provided to provide a lithium secondary battery which has a small battery capacity reduction even after repeating charging and discharging at room temperature and high temperatures, and improved lifetime and stability. CONSTITUTION: A non-aqueous electrolyte comprises an electrolyte salt and an organic solvent, and additionally comprises a pyrimidine-based compound indicated in chemical formula 1. The organic solvent comprises a non-fluorine-containing solvent and a fluorine-based solvent. A fluorine content in the organic solvent is 0.1-50 weight%. In chemical formula 1, each of R1, R2, R3 and R4 is hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted C1-10 alkyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted C1-10 alkoxy group. The content of the pyrimidine-based compound is 0.1-20 parts by weight based on 100.0 parts by weight of the organic solvent.
