PURPOSE: A primer set and/or probe for detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria are/is provided to effectively and simultaneously detect and analyze both of the bacteria. CONSTITUTION: A probe for detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis 16S rRNA contains a base of sequence number 26. A kit for detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria contains: a common primer set containing a forward primer of sequence number 24 and a reverse primer of sequence number 25 for amplifying Mycobacterium tuberculosis and nontuberculous mycobacteria 16S rRNA gene; a probe for detecting Mycobacterium tuberculosis 16S rRNA gene of sequence number 26; and a probe containing probes of sequence numbers 27 and 28 for detecting 16S rRNA gene. |
