PURPOSE: An X-ray device and a pixel map update method are provided to update a pixel map in real time, thereby easily correcting a faulty pixel of an X-ray transmitting image of an object. CONSTITUTION: A control unit receives an X-ray transmitting image of an object from a detection unit(10). The control unit selects one of pixels forming the X-ray transmitting image(11). When a difference between values of the selected pixel and a surrounding pixel of the selected pixel is more than a reference value, the control unit determines the selected pixel as a faulty pixel candidate(13,14). When the selected pixel is the last pixel forming the X-ray transmitting image, the control unit updates a pixel map corresponding to an answer of an faulty pixel determination selecting message(15,18).
