PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a control method thereof are provided to manage log information including a title of an NFC tag and recognition time of an external NFC(Near Field Communication) tag. If the NFC tag is recognized through the NFC read unit, a control unit(180) displays log information. The log information includes time for recognizing the NFC tag and a title of the NFC tag.
