PURPOSE: An RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag chip having an ESD protecting device is provided to reduce the entire chip size and increase the integration of the chip by forming an embedded ESD protector on the backside of the substrate. CONSTITUTION: A voltage multiplier(170) amplifies an RF(Radio Frequency) signal received through an antenna and generates the RF signal into power voltage used as operating voltage of an RFID tag. An ESD(ElectroStatic Discharge) protector(150) protects an inner circuit from the electrostatic through an antenna pad and is connected to the voltage multiplier in parallel. The ESD protector is formed on the backside of the substrate of the RFID tag chip. |
