As a result, overhead system information may then be reduced. For instance, synchronisation and paging for a specified cell are not provided at all carriers. The carrier may provide backward compatibility for UE with one carrier for accessing, synchronisation, broadcasting and a new control zone within the data region of conventional terminals.
