PURPOSE: A low thermal conductivity composite oxide for high temperature environment thermal barrier and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent growth of constituent particle under high temperature exposure and to maximize phonon scattering effect which is related to thermal conductance. CONSTITUTION: A low thermal conductivity composite oxide for high temperature environment thermal barrier accomplishes fluorite - pyrochlore dual structure and is marked as (A,B)O2-C2D2O7. A indicates La, B indicates ZrxCe1-x (0<x<0.5), C indicates La, and D indicates ZryCe1-y (0.5<y<1). A manufacturing method of the low thermal conductivity composite oxide for high temperature environment thermal barrier comprises the following steps: measuring La2O3, ZrO2, and CeO2 powders by calculating molar ratio of La2O3, ZrO2, and CeO in order to accomplish (La,ZrxCe1-x)O2 (0<x<0.5)-La2(ZryCe1-y)2O7 (0.5<y<1); pulverizing the La2O3, ZrO2, and CeO2 powders by mixing powders thereof; incinerating the pulverized compound powder; molding the calcinated compound powder; and sintering the moldings. |
