PURPOSE: A time delay calculation device of a mobile communication system is provided to remove division operation of an input complex number using a quantized value of a tangent table. CONSTITUTION: A time delay computing device of a mobile communication system(100) includes a comparative calculator(110), a tangent table(120) and a time delay calculator(130). The comparative calculator compares a quantized value of the tangent function stored in a tangent table with a real part and imaginary part of a conjugate complex number. The comparative calculator calculates a quantized value of the tangent function which is correspondent by comparison. The comparative calculator calculates the maximum time value of difference between the quantized value of the calculated tangent function from the imaginary part and the multiplied value with the real part. The time delay calculator determines a quadrant plane including the phase according to the sign of the real part and imaginary part. The delay time calculator calculates the final delay time by adjusting the delay time value through phase adjustment.
