METHOD FOR EVALUATION OF POSSIBLE GAS RELEASE FROM ROOF ROCKS

Disclosed is a method for evaluation of possible gas release from roof rocks occurring in the discharge zone with removal of rock pressure. Volume of methane release from underworked rocks is determined by the curve of change of dynamics of gas release to wells during time period till coming to absolute maximum, as difference between total amount of gas released from all the sources placed in the roof of the working seam and gas stock found in close coal seams before underworking of those.
