The device (D) has a plate (P1) rotatably mounted on an inner face (FI) of a side door (PL2) to adopt a storage position against the face or a deployed position. Another plate (P2) is rotatably mounted on the former plate to adopt a storage position against the former plate, or a deployed position. The latter plate, in the deployed position, forms an angle with the former plate so as to be placed near a middle passenger seat (S2) in a position adapted to prohibit passage of objects under and in front of the seat when the former plate is in the deployed position.
