The method involves reading a description of an application (2.1) in form of a network of communicating processes, and replacing transmission and reception primitives of messages by low-level primitives (2.2). A flowchart of a control flow is constructed (2.3) in boxes for each process of the application, where the boxes correspond to a treatment sequence executed in an atomic way. An automaton of finished states is constructed (2.4) for each flow chart, and the automaton is translated (2.5) in the form of a hardware description language of transfers of registers.
