592542 Provided is an isolated antibody or fragment reactive with TLR3 that competes for TLR3 binding with a monoclonal antibody comprising a specified heavy or light chain variable region; wherein the antibody binds the toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) amino acid residues K467, R488, and R489 of SEQ ID NO: 2, and wherein the antibody further binds at least one TLR3 amino 30 acid residue selected from the group consisting of residues Y465, Y468, N517, 0536, Q538, H539, N541, E570 and K619 of SEQ ID NO:2. Further provided are polynucleotide sequences coding for the heavy and light chains. The antibody can be used to treat various inflammatory conditions and infections.
