<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate stably in good accuracy, the consciousness decreased condition of a person to be estimated. <P>SOLUTION: The time-series data of the heartbeat interval of the person to be estimated is detected by a heartbeat detection device 12, and the time-series data of the biological signal related to breath is detected by a breath detection device 14. The correlation coefficient between the time-series data of the heartbeat interval and the time-series data of the biological signal related to breath is calculated by a correlation coefficient calculating unit 32. A power spectral density characteristic amount is calculated by a power spectral density characteristic amount calculation section 36 as an indicator that shows the variation degree of breath. The consciousness-decreased condition of the person is estimated by a state of consciousness estimation section 38 based on the power spectral density characteristic and the correlation coefficient that have been calculated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
