<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer type timepiece capable of adjusting the transmitting/receiving sensitivity of an antenna to a sensitivity level suitable for the purpose with a simple mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The pointer type timepiece is configured so that plural pointers rotate above an antenna 13 for communicating with external equipment via a radio signal. The plural pointers 11 are driven by a motor drive circuit 207, stepping motors 208a, 208b and 208c and gear train mechanisms 209a, 209b and 209c to adjust the degree of overlapping with the antenna 11; thereby the radio transmitting/receiving sensitivity of the antenna 13 is adjusted. The radio transmitting/receiving sensitivity can be adjusted only by driving conventional pointers 11 to rotate by controlling conventional motor drive circuit 207, the stepping motors 208a, the gear train mechanism 209a and the like.
