<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sea water desalination system and a method therefor, capable of reducing the running cost of the whole system by preventing the performance drop of an RO membrane. <P>SOLUTION: The sea water desalination system is a sea water desalination system S which desalinates sea water 12 using a reverse osmosis membrane. The sea water desalination system S includes: treatment devices 14, 16 for polysaccharide absorption which reduce the amount of polysaccharide contained in the sea water 12; a reverse osmosis treatment device 18 which desalinates treated water 162 of the treatment device 16; a washing fluid feeding device 19 which washes a polysaccharide absorber of the treatment devices 14, 16; a polysaccharide concentration measuring device 17 which measures the polysaccharide concentration of the treated water 121, 15, 162 before and after the treatment devices 14, 16; and a washing condition computing means 171 which determines the manipulated variable of the treatment devices 14, 16 for polysaccharide absorption depending on the measured value of the polysaccharide concentration of the treated water 121, 15, 162 before and after the treatment devices 14, 16, and a predetermined target degree D for the removal of polysaccharides, and outputs the washing information of the treatment devices 14, 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
